The Jamaica Diaspora Crime Intervention and Prevention Task Force (JDCIPT) has been recently established to support Jamaican crime prevention with the most modern practices and resources available to law enforcement professionals living in the Diaspora. It aims to merge best practices in Diaspora locations with community development initiatives in Jamaica and to provide the Jamaican government, NGOs and the Private Sector with support, training and resources. We are made up of members of the Diaspora with several decades of Law Enforcement, Military, Social Services, Corrections and Criminology experience.who have indicated their interest and willingness in tackling these issues as the new Crime Intervention Task Force.

JDCIPT is currently planning an Island-wide Safer City initiative, fashioned after a similar program in Los Angeles that will start with a Pilot in Montego Bay.
