The Jamaica Diaspora Immigration and Deportation Prevention Task
Force will meet with Deportees in Jamaica
New York, March 7, 2017– The Jamaica Diaspora Immigration and Deportation Prevention Task
Force has announced a series of meetings with deportees in Jamaica next week.
Jamaica Diaspora Immigration and Deportation Prevention Task Force JDIDPTF scheduled to
meet with deportees in Montego Bay and Kingston Jamaica Thursday March 16- Saturday
March 18th 2017.
The JDIDPTF attorneys will meet with Jamaicans who have previously been deported from the
US to determine their eligibility to return to the US. The Task Force will focus on individuals
whose parents were US Citizens prior to their 18th birthday.
The meetings will take place:
– Thursday, March 16th- 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Holy Trinity Church in West Gate Montego Bay
– Friday, March 17th-3:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Kingston at Christian Fellowship World
– Saturday, March 18th- 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in Kingston at Christian Fellowship World Outreach
There is an administrative fee of US$10 to cover the church’s costs.
Lawyers on this task force are Immigration and Criminal attorneys of Jamaica and American descent from
across the Diaspora. Also invited are community leaders and non-lawyers in the Diaspora. The force
benefits from expertise in different areas of Immigration and Criminal law as well as administration,
outreach, communication, web design and social media skills.
