Bevan Hugh Earle
Who is Bevan Hugh Earle:
“THE DUKE OF EARLE”
Bevan Hugh Earle. A patriotic Jamaican – I have served in both Jamaica’s Armed Forces for over twenty seven (27) years and resigned with an impeccable record.
A resident of Florida for the past 28 years and I have been and continue to be active in all aspects of the Jamaican community during this time.
A “Journalist” by profession. Publisher and Editor of the Monthly newspaper The Caribbean Voice; Radio Talk Show Host of programs’ Hot Talk’ and ‘Exposure’ on WAVS Radio 1170 AM. These programs have been a staple on WAVS Radio, airing 6 days per week for the past 28 years. Both news outlets are used as vehicles to address and solve problems that have been affecting our Jamaican/Caribbean residents.
His vision for the Jamaican Diaspora:
Over the past 15 years I initiated the ‘Jamaica home coming’ taking hundreds of Jamaicans and friends back to Sandals annually for a reasonably priced Jamaica dream vacation.
I have covered every major event taking place in Jamaica for more than 20 years, broadcasting back to South Florida with the latest news.
Our Community is lacking proper representation at most levels and needs someone that will generate greater community involvement and inclusiveness in addition to assisting our homeland Jamaica. For this Diaspora Movement to be productive in South Florida we must set a goal to involve every Jamaican and engage them to be a part of this honorable organization. This organization/group should clearly define and show that it is not a political organization, but an organization dealing with the interest of the Jamaican people living in this geographical area ready to assist Jamaica as needed.
I believe I can bring new energy and cohesiveness that will make the Diaspora a stronger group and even use present programming to easily communicate throughout all the states through my present radio that is available via the internet and smart phones Joining these communities for better unity.
